Amange Foundation is one of the foremost Community-Based Organization in Bayelsa East, principally focused on bringing peace and socio-economic wellness into the Niger Delta and her people. In fulfilling this mandate, Amange Foundation initiated projects chiefly focused on the youths and women.
The foundation's history dates back to 2002 with the Rediscover Education Scheme. This project was introduced by Nimi Barigha-Amange, with a mission of campaigning against mass illiteracy and high rate of school quits in Nembe LGA of Bayelsa States, Nigeria and culminated in the registration of Amange Foundation at Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC in 2008 with several other schemes geared towards peace in the Niger Delta and towards economic empowerment for women and youths.
